Adapt, modify or accommodate. In any journey, those words apply. They can save a lot of stress and anxiety. So I didn’t get to swim yesterday. Today, I simply modified my program. This is one of the best skills you can develop especially if your fitness journey takes you to a gym. Learning multiple exercises for each body part you plan on targeting prevents unnecessary angst or wasted time and lets you accomplish your fitness goals smoothly.
That was today. Here’s my modified Friday routine:
- Swim – 3 sets of 20 laps freestyle and 8 resting laps between sets of side and breast stroke.
- Arnold Press – 3 sets of 10
- Vertical Rows – 3 sets of 10
- Arm Raises – 3 sets of 12
- Crunches – 3 sets of 50
- Bike – 8 minutes
