Ahh, Swim Day – my fave!

I’m learning that time becomes a premium as your strength and endurance increases the further along in your fitness journey you’ve come. You can swim further, ride the bike longer, row farther, and even add an extra set or two for the glamour groups i.e bench or curls -lol. If you’re finding yourself in a time crunch, start finding ways to cut the fluff.

For me, it’s stretching. I’ve added 10-15 minutes just by taking a few minutes and stretching at home and not at the gym. Just a little tip. Stretching is super important, don’t get me wrong, but I’ve found that I cut fewer corners if I stretch prior to landing at the gym.

Ahh, the pool. My happy place.

  • Freestyle – 20 laps X 3 sets.
  • Rest between sets of 2 laps each – side and breaststroke.
  • 68 laps total = 1.7kms
  • Bike – 15 mins
  • Rowing machine – 4 mins
