Atomic. Habits. What?

When I saw the book I immediately pictured the atom bomb and the huge mushroom cloud associated with a nuclear blast. Then I started reading. Totally the opposite. Atomic as in small, molecular sized atoms. The key to successfully getting rid of those old, unhealthy, and non beneficial habits is to make small minute adjustments. Don’t tell me you plan to workout. Tell me what days this week you’ll be going, what time each of those days and for how long. Now I know you’re on a road to success. Throw in a workout routine and I’m confident you’ll win.

Today was the fifth day, in a row, that I’d been able to workout faithfully and follow my routine, to a tee. I feel like a million bucks. Sure, stuff happens and times get missed, days have to be skipped, but don’t give up. You’ll have that week and it’ll feel awesome.

  • Compound routine one x 4 sets: Arnold shoulder press w/ dumbbells, standing barbell row, alternating dumbbell arm raises, crunches.
  • Compound routine two x 3 sets: dumbbell shrugs, standing cable pulls, farmers carry, seated Russian twist.
  • Compound routine three x 2 sets: wall squats 60secs, goblet bench squats, planks.
  • Treadmill.
