Don’t You Dare Skip It!

I love a full week of being able to go to the gym. When I get 5 full days to carry out my fitness routine and get in a couple days of cardio, I’m stoked. But, what happens if I’ve got to miss a day? Anything could cause me to have to skip a day or more. When that happens, what do you do?

My hope is that you’re NOT choosing to skip cardio. You better not. Maybe in your twenties or thirties you could get away with skipping a cardio day, but you’re not that young, anymore. If our goal, in our sixties, is functional strength and longevity, then choosing to miss cardio days is you sabotaging your own goals. Not a good idea.

Today was my chance to push myself, even if it was in my happy place. 😊 50 laps in the pool, 16 minutes on the bike, 10 minutes on the elliptical, 6 minutes on the stair climber, and 4 minutes rowing.
