Monday, Monday, Monday

Mondays do get an undeserved bad rap. For a vast, major majority of people, returning to the office or job site after a good weekend is pretty much a downer. But, for the fitness enthusiasts out there, I would venture to wager a sizable penny that they’re stoked about getting back into the gym.

Today was no different. I couldn’t wait – chest and tri’s. Here’s what I did and boy, did I ever leave it all out in the floor.

  • Circuit 1 X3 sets: bench, dips, tricep push downs, Russian twists with 10lb ball.
  • Circuit 2 X3 sets: incline dumbbell bench, dumbbell flies, tricep kickbacks, hanging leg raises.
  • Circuit 3 X3 sets: dumbbell pullovers, curl bar skull crushers, crunches.
  • Jumping jacks, air squats, medicine ball throws with a burpee.

I finished with a few moments to spare but got wrapped up in a conversation with a dear friend and didn’t quite finish all I had planned. That’s okay because if you come back in the near future, my friend will be featured in an “every one needs a role model” post.

I’m sore and tired and looking forward to a good swim day tomorrow.
