Positivity that Simply Works!

Today, the clouds were out in force. It was spitting rain causing an entirely gloomy situation. The grey ‘blanket’ does affect all of us and I for one, hate to get to the gym and have a dark cloud hanging over me. It bodes bad for my workout and I hate to walk out of the gym thinking I’ve wasted my time.

And that’s when I encountered our gym’s receptionist and was cheerfully greeted by name as I walked in the front door. Never underestimate the power of positivity. My day went from grey and gloomy to bright and inviting. Guess how my workout went? Yep, it was great. Positivity does work!

What a day for shoulders and legs.

  • Combo #1 x 3 sets: standing barbell press, standing dumbbell raises front/side, dumbbell shrugs, reverse crunches.
  • Combo #2 x 3 sets: seated dumbbell Arnold press, standing barbell rows, crunches.
  • Combo #3 x 3 sets: seated leg press, wall squats and planks.
