Weights Don’t Lift Themselves!

When you really start thinking about it, a lot of weight gets moved around when a lifter does it right. I mean, by the book. Strictly following a legitimate routine, being careful to count reps, getting in a strategic amount of sets and maintaining the proper form can produce a yield of multiple thousands of pounds of iron. Two fifty pound dumbbells in an Arnold Shoulder Press for 10 reps is 1000lbs. Three sets later and you’ve moved 3000lbs of iron. Once you understand that the “weights don’t lift themselves,” you’re on the right track toward bodybuilding success.

Today, I found myself in my happy place. Seventy laps in 78° water. No complaints here. Because I did cardio yesterday, I finished up with some shoulders and legs.

78° degrees – brr.
